Hot off the press! 🧬🔬

We developed in utero nano-injection to label & trace the mouse neural plate and otic placode using next generation single cell lineage tracing. We couple progenitors to mature cell types in the CNS & resolve the lineages of cells in the hearing organ:

Ectoderm barcoding reveals neural and cochlear compartmentalization
Placodes and the neural crest are defining features of vertebrates. In this study, we investigate their lineages in mice using in utero approaches. We demonstrated that nanoinjection at embryonic day ...

If we lose our inner ear hair cells, we lose our hearing.. but reptiles can repair their sensory organs 🐊🤩

Tune in to Vetenskapspodden on Swedish radio P1, Sun 07:03, Mon 18:33, or bit.ly/4oCDHzP from Sunday, to hear me & Helge Rask-Andersen discuss crocodiles & regeneration with Lena Nordlund!

Mine is: “It seems that a lot of your work is the result of fortuitous discoveries. How will your career continue if it is only lucky observations?”

Fantastic work! 👏👏👏 Indeed a very cool tool and findings. And such a joy to hear the story firsthand from you, at the Blueprints of Life Symposium @ki.se ! Thanks again for accepting the invitation to speak!
