Never forget that a Democratic US Attorney’s decision to prosecute Aaron Swartz for downloading JSTOR PDFs contributed to his suicide but AI firms’ decision to download everything ever will be a justification for hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer bailouts and legal exemptions.

Had my #Flu and #COVID #vaccines today. I'm not super fussed really, I've had COVID a couple times and flu several times. They suck, but not awful for me. But I've got a busy fall and winter with lots of travel, so doing what I can to prevent spread in the world, and maybe stay safe myself.

Anyone who says we need speed limiters for #eBikes but doesn't advocate for speed limiters for #cars is either unfortunately misinformed or a deliberately hypocritical #carbrain bullshit artist & a nasty shit stain on their community.

The American people need protection from those who seek to exploit the workers for every last penny.
Some decry this view as "socialism."

Such an idea! Rather than cancelling commercial flights, the FAA could cut private jet flights. Or close private airports. This would ease the burden on air traffic controllers much more than the 10% cuts we're currently seeing.

These millionaires have a suggestion for the FAA: Cancel all private jet flights during the shutdown
Private jets make up one in six flights handled by the FAA, and taxpayers already foot the bill for their 'jet setting,' says Patriotic Millionaires.

As long as a candidate's religious beliefs (or lack thereof) don't override the law, Constitution, oath of office, etc.; who am I to judge?
Thought experiment: flip the religions of the best/worst candidates in your eyes and think about whether they'd do anything much differently because of them.

Cool to be included in this article on being car free in this business. I’ve been bike commuting with transit to writers rooms for twenty years now.

It's disappointing that the CA’s e-bike voucher program is getting cut with the funds being diverted to EVs
Data from the Denver program says e-bikes = huge value:
• 40% cheaper/mile than EVs, ~75% cheaper than ICE cars
• Operational emissions ~3% of EVs; ~1% of ICE cars
