Seattle born, raised on equal parts Bill Nye, Calvin & Hobbes, and Mr. Rogers.
So fun that #Seafair includes several days of flying war planes low over dense urban areas, burning 70k gallons of jet fuel—love seeing my dog trembling in fear.

Thanks #BlueAngels (and #Boeing for your sponsorship)!

It's critical we thank agency staff and elected officials when they do the right thing — they are people and need positive feedback for doing a good job like anyone else.

Planning a family trip to Scotland and accidentally mapped out our route so it looks conspicuously like Nessie's head.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Despite what Elon Musk says—Social Security is NOT a Ponzi Scheme.

Social Security is a PROMISE that the American people should be able to count on after paying into it their entire lives. Repost if you agree.

Today felt like a good one to do something a) good and b) within my control.

I brought my trash pickup kit on my morning dog walk and cleaned up one bucket-worth of litter, and finally dropped a “welcome” note in my new next door neighbor’s mailbox.

Let’s make the world we want, bit by bit.

I made this veloliraptor almost 10 years ago.

I posted it on the site formerly known as Twitter at one point, but shockingly it didn't go viral immediately, and I've since deleted my account over there.

Feels like getting it back out into the wild is as good a first post here as anything. lol.
