A thing that was driving me nuts in all the "are the Thunder one of the greatest teams ever?" talk early in the season was how no one wanted to discuss how easy their schedule had been at that point.

Great point. It's hard to enjoy Thunder games as a neutral observer because their dominance sucks out any drama from it. I bet it's great fun if you're an OKC fan though.
I dont think OKC's basketball is ugly or even unentertaining. It's the team theyre playing that becomes unwatchable. The comet that nearly wiped out life on Earth was probably beautiful before it hit us

The thing about retirement tours in the NBA is that they aren't promised. If you want to decide when it's over, you need to make that decision early.

Both came out on the same day.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

The best time to fire Nico Harrison was, of course, the day he suggested trading Luka Doncic. The next best day was every subsequent day after that.

Trying to explain to my dog that it is NOT dinner time, because someone randomly decided to change the artificial construct of time.

She is not buying it.

It may be cowardly to IBB Ohtani 4 times, but this game would already be over if they had started walking him earlier.

one of the clearest signs you're dealing with a strong and principled political movement is when they want to make it illegal to make fun of them

I encourage everyone to look out for their safety and practice good internet hygiene, of course. But some of the scolding posts I've read suggest we can change the awful aftermath of a fateful event by just holding our tongues and being quiet little mice, and that isn't my experience.

"All Kawhi had to do was promote Aspiration once and he'd be in the clear" misses the point: he didn't do any promotion for them because they were trying to avoid anyone noticing that he was being paid under the table.

Do you also think pre-NIL athletes should have cut ads with car dealerships?

The very concept of a phone book, delivering everyone's phone number and address to every house in the city, blows my kids' minds.

For very good reason.
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.

Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.

I appreciate that the new Jurassic World series shares its predecessor's inability to understand money. ScarJo's team of mercenaries initially agrees to go to Dino Island for NBA backup center money.
