I disagree with the administration’s moves to shutter the only agency focused solely on America's libraries and museums.

Mainers understand the value these institutions have in connecting, educating, and even attracting folks from away. I believe in that mission, and am pushing back on those cuts.

My evening thought is that I suspect a great many Americans, in the period after 1989, grew very used to a world in which it didn't matter *that* much who they elected (to them).

They had the rule of law, the most prosperous economy in human history, the long peace.

But it always mattered.

On 3/12 Abrego Garcia, was pulled over at Ikea & arrested with his 5-yr-old son in the car.

In 2019, he was granted protection from being deported back to El Salvador, where Abrego was likely to face persecution by local gangs.
