If you are a non-White person do not vote Reform.
If you are on ANY benefits do not vote Reform.
If you are disabled do not vote Reform.
If you are a pensioner do not vote Reform.
If you ever want to have Healthcare do not vote Reform.

You are all on Nigel Farage's list.

My understanding is that Greens do have a chance in Cardiff & Penarth. Libs a chance in Brecon-Tawe-Neath so at least not a wasted vote in those constituencies. Everywhere else, it has to be @plaidcymru.bsky.social to keep Reform out.

Thing is 6% wins very few MS's. Same with Labour on 14%. If it drops any more, very few MS's. Those percentages then act in Reform's favour. If the progressive electorate pushed Plaid over 40%, that would be massive, kick Reform hard and change Welsh politics for the better.

I don't want to rain on the Green's parade. If I were English I'd vote for them. I'm Welsh though and @plaidcymru.bsky.social is the leading progressive party in the polls and tranches in common. Imagine if that 6% lent their vote to Plaid.

Polling suggests the momentum is gathering there too.

Senedd voting intention

Plaid Cymru 30% (-)

Reform UK 29% (+4)

Labour Party 14% (-4)

Conservatives 11% (-2)

Liberal Democrats 6% (-1)

Green Party 6% (+1)

Other 4% (+2)

The attitude of other European countries to Scotland joining the EU is something I discuss in this free Substack. It's mostly quite different to how they feel about England.

Worth a listen. Very clear that Mark Drakeford was influenced by Welsh Labour MP's in rejecting STV where his MS's and himself tended to favour it.

Welsh Labour MP's are a colossal drag on Welsh Democracy and a great source of frustration to me over the years.

Really pleased to get this pod out. It’s the first really clear look at how we’ve ended up with a voting system for next year’s national GE that no-one really wanted. #Senedd26 #Wales #Cymru

( And look at these lovely teenage girls - they rightly don’t give a toss about their different ethnicity, because what decent person would? Politics/ethics is the divider - more than anything else imo)

To be fair, it is an either or. Personally, I wouldn't trust the WRU to run a bath so I'd much rather watch Llanelli RFC in an Anglo Welsh league they have a stake in running.

Look, If you get a bunch of folk nostalgic for the UK as an Imperial Power in government then they will do anything not to be part of the EU. The whole "subservient" narrative is part of their twisted world view.

The solution to the problem is to reject imperialism.

A genuine failure. Welsh govt made a couple of monumental cockup's and they've been avoiding scrutiny ever since.

Sorry, but if you're saying those implausible and shallow Kemi Badenoch announcements constitute a good speech then you're part of the UK's political problem.

Same half-baked "tax cut good / international commitments bad" bearing no resemblance to well formed policy.
