to this point, why do people think the “antiwoke” backlash is so prominent among elite opinion journalists? could it have something to do with the distribution of reward and prestige since about 2019 or so?
Really don’t think people understand how much of this backlash is fueled by professors jealous of other academics for getting funding, attention, etc ditto with writers looking for fame, assignments, etc. they didn’t think they were advancing racism per se they just wanted to take down their “rival”
The most aggravating thing in all this (to me) is the sheer number of you, who believe Black people got high-paying jobs on account of their skin color and not their qualifications. That standards were lowered for us, when the truth is the bars are 10 times higher for us.
