It is wild that the Supreme Court & FedSoc lawyers who all embraced the unitary executive theory on steroids never seemed to think about what would happen to the Fed.

Rational views of American power fail to explain Trump. As illustrated by the argument below, if Trump wanted to maximise American power, he would behave very differently.
Therefore he doesn't seek to maximise U.S. power - but rather his own and that of his revolutionary movement.
If I was the commander in chief of the Imperial hegemon I would simply not dismantle the network of military and diplomatic alliances, favourable trade deals, and broad cultural paramountcy that had made my nation the most wealthy and powerful the world has ever seen.

If you do not have this on an infinite loop in your head yet, it can only be because you have not heard it once.
This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.

Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”

Really listen to it.

The Church Committee's investigation into the crimes of the intelligence community is about as good a model as we have for the kind of investigation into the crimes of ICE and other agencies. This is really a must-read for understanding our own moment.
With MLK day approaching, worth reading what the official Senate investigation found about surveillance, sabotage, and blackmail as part of the FBI's "war" on Martin Luther King.

"No holds were barred. We have used [similar] techniques against Soviet agents...This is a rough, tough business."

Greg Bovino reports to Stephen Miller.

Greg Bovino's men keep assaulting (and, this week, shooting) people.

The situation in Minneapolis is insane: seemingly many large convoys of heavily armed masked men, blocking off streets at random, grabbing people nearly at random, racing around the city with no discernible plan or aim. Under attack by our own government the day after it killed someone

So when authorities say “she tried to run over an officer,” that is not a neutral description. It is a claim of intent that can be used to justify lethal force after the fact.

When the state kills first and invents the threat afterward, it is not policing, it is death squad behavior. /end
