Rob Reiner described Norman Lear as his second father.
"The Lear Family is devastated by the deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner. Norman often referred to Rob as a son, and their close relationship was extraordinary, to us and the world. What was great about Rob was that the person, the actor, the director, the friend, the participant, the activist, the star, the husband, the father all came from the center of his being.... What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?
One immediate winner to emerge from the encounter has been Jack Posobiec, a far-right podcaster and activists who was recently credentialed as a member of the White House press pool. As Mr. Trump and Mr. Mamdani fielded questions from reporters, Mr. Posobiec, pressed the mayor-elect on his campaign policy proposals, asking whether Mr. Mamdani intended to increase property taxes for “white people” in New York City.
