I don't what it means, but it raised my eyebrows.
Russia is refusing to hand over its consulate building in Gdańsk, despite Poland ordering the facility to close in response to last month's rail sabotage.

Moscow says it still has legal right to the property, and will leave a single member of staff in the building. But city hall rejects that claim.

Can you imagine a job where you shoot and kill your closest co-worker on the job, in front of a bunch of your co-workers and you keep going to work and getting paid?
I finally got an answer back from CPD on Carlos Baker’s status. He’s the cop who fatally shot his partner, allegedly shortly after she ended their relationship.

“Officer Baker is on Active Status, assigned to the 6th District and Detailed to Unit 376.”

376 is the Alternate Response Section.
So: a walking embodiment of ACAB who, even by pro-cop standards, should never have made it past probation and at best killed someone by incompetence and will cost the city milliions is technically still employed and no coverage I've found says if he's getting paid or not.

I said at the time that her partner murdered her. I thought it was because he was afraid she was going to snitch about the gun he allegedly stole. Turns out he was afraid she was going to tell his girlfriend that they were romantically involved (barf).

Remember this as Trump and Big Tech lobbyists try to block AI regulation at both the state and federal level.
EXCLUSIVE: We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items.

It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too.

Our months-long investigation with @consumerreports.org and @groundwork.bsky.social found it could cost families $1200/year.

Arresting immigrants outside of their immigration hearings.

Pausing asylum decisions.

And now? Cancelling citizenship ceremonies, the final step to becoming a U.S. citizen.

Just remember that Trump never cared about "legal immigration."

Remember those national guard troops sent to Chicago by Texas Gov Greg Abbott? They went home after sitting at a suburban training facility doing nothing for a month. Abbott's little stunt cost taxpayers at least $12M. What an abuse of power.
