Just discovered I was placed on a moderation list named “Incapable of Critical Thought”. 😂

For the record!!!

It’s not that I’m incapable of critical thought! I’m merely limiting my exposure to them as too much exposure to critical thought increases your risks of developing certain cancers.

if I die, please don't let them say shit like "she sang in church choirs since the age of 10 and was an active parishioner at St. Andrew" and omit the fact that I'm a lesbian to make middle America feel bad that I'm dead when otherwise they wouldn't care

Remember when they told us they were only interested in removing (ie censoring) books that are “obscene” and “harmful” to children?

They lied. 😑

ICE agents shouldn’t be in the streets period. ICE agents are a greater threat to the average normie on the street than whatever the hell else they are supposed to be protecting us from.
ice agents simply aren't trained well enough to be on the street. they are a genuine danger to citizens

It’s impossible to list all the influences that informed my novel The Wolf Bane. A lot of it is vibes accumulated over decades of reading and viewing

But that’s not going to stop me ☺️

All I have ever wanted is to write the books a weird kid discovers on a lonely summer vacation.
Write the book you would like to see someone pull from a higgledy piggledy pile in a secondhand shop 63 years after your death and say, "This looks fucking weird. I think I will buy it for Joan."

This was a really good book.
Moonflow, @bitterkarella.bsky.social Sometimes you just need a little romp in the woods with a feminist cult that loves its psychedelic mushrooms, the musrhoom curators trying to find a specific hallucinogenic mushroom worth big bucks, and the mushroom driven chaos of cult members while you're at it

What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Sophie Thatcher is amazing in Companion. Between her roles in this and Heretic I think she’s become one of my “must watch” actresses, like anything she’s in as a lead I will just buy the ticket.

I haven’t seen anyone talking about it from the perspective of national security, but… people with foreknowledge of events placing large ish trades / bets on such platforms where the transactions are viewable irt is… not great.
“What appears to be a newly created account appeared to invest $30,000 Friday in Maduro's exit. After Maduro went into custody Saturday morning, that same investor netted $436,759.61.”
Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened
The winnings come as the rules governing prediction markets are still evolving.

I've been trying to watch 52 films directed by women every year since 2017

Here's a list to my collection of lists on Letterboxd showing what I watched each year. Ratings and reviews are often mood-based, so don't let my depression reactions color your opinions 😅

Thread, Sadhbh has excellent taste and y’all should also follow. There’s also a book and a Patreon (highly recommended).
Rather than wait for the end of the year and share only the ones I liked best, I thought that this time around I’d list every film directed by women as I watch them and let y’all decide whether any sound interesting ☺️
