In the past eight months, 3 cases of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) have been diagnosed in one Oregon county; 2 of them have died. CJD is the human form of mad cow disease. It’s caused by prions and it’s not known how they developed it.

The former US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia was found dead in Alexandria on Saturday, authorities said.
In a statement on social media, Alexandria police announced that at about 9.18am on Saturday, police responded to the 900 block of Beverley Drive following reports of an unresponsive woman.
