An important pragmatic point as Trump, Dr. Oz, and others claim to want to reform the subsidy scheme for 2026: It's too late for that.

Insurers modeled premiums with and without enhanced subsidies; they *didn't* estimate rates accounting for some quarter-baked scheme to issue some subsidy as cash.
Congress’ Obamacare subsidy vote could set off state scramble
The 20 state Affordable Care Act exchanges are prepared for a straightforward extension, but that appears doubtful.

Undocumented immigrants, under longstanding policy, have been and continue to be ineligible for federally funded health coverage. Medicaid, ACA, and Medicare eligibility cuts in H.R. 1 apply to lawfully present immigrants.
Democrats are pushing to reverse Medicaid and ACA cuts. Contrary to Republican talking points, that would not in any way expand health care eligibility for undocumented immigrants.

New from CBO:

Extending enhanced ACA premium tax credits, due to expire at the end of this year, would prevent 3.8 million more people from becoming uninsured.

It would cost $350 billion over 10 years.

This is correct. Any candidate cynically “triangulating” on trans kids is a non-starter, and now is the time to say so. There’s still so much time to advance candidates that DON’T suck.
I will never, ever vote for Gavin Newsom. Ever, under any circumstances. I don't care if he becomes the Dem nominee, he's still not getting my vote.
On a recent podcast Gavin Newsom tells Shawn Ryan how the Trans sports issue opened the door for him to change his mind on GAC for Trans Youth.

As someone who adored him since 2004 and voted for him 5 times, I can't wait for him to leave office.

There is no way I will be voting for him a 6th time.

I used to do nonpartisan research serving the whole WI legislature — all 132 offices.

Rep. Hong and her staff topped my list for offices that "get it" — doing the work to understand what their constituents need and aggressively advocating for change based on real principles.
I’m Francesca Hong, a single mom, service worker, and State Rep—now running for Governor of Wisconsin.

This campaign won’t be funded by billionaires or corporate PACs. It’s powered by working people.

It'll increase the number of uninsured people in this country by about 50% over the next decade.
The Republican megabill has many parts and was never framed for the public as a health care bill. But, it is the biggest cutback in federal support for health coverage ever.
