I've been working on a game pitch and story dear to me, "ENGINE ANGEL", with the team at Ivy Road!

We're still seeking funding, but in the meantime I wanted everyone to still be able to share the work they've done. I'll be sharing more as well as reposting any of the team's posts so stay tuned!

Alright, it's time to ruin your holiday budget! It's big sales recommendation thread time! I'll be updating intermittently, so check back.

This year has had some ups and downs. Income isn't awful, but less stable. If you want to support my work, tips always go to buying more indie games to research

There's a round of GOTY discussion going around, and I realized that a lot of my favourite games this year have been absolute Sicko Picks.

So here's a few games I've loved so far in 2025, starting with a mild one: Babushka's Glitch Dungeon. A scrunkly lil' puzzle-metroidvania with so many fun verbs

Oh hello dearie.. Babushka needs to clean up her big magical cellar. Use hag magic, or just hit stuff with your broom.

This is why I proudly do those hidden gems roundups every few months. There are SO many great games that just did not sell big, often for reasons as arbitrary as 'It was a day ending in Y'.

Games hardware is plateauing and the Steam Deck is a great bottom line for PC now. Games don't 'age' easily.
a huge number of inspired, creative and very very worthy-of-people's time games come out daily on steam and what inspires me is the hope that people will still find them and play them even if and when they aren't hollow knight level successes. the idea that maybe we can have careers that way

Okay, I adore the Sonic fangame scene, and this, right here? This is an immensely stylish trailer.
"Sonic Rush Rerun" is an upcoming native PC remaster port of the beloved #Nintendo DS game, #Sonic Rush

With all the modern improvement you'd expect to make this the best Sonic Rush has ever been.

Absolutely one of those indie sicko curators to follow. Kimimi is the *other* scholar of obscure fringe arcade games writing regularly for PC Gamer.

Yeah, this is bad. Payment processors and banks determining what can and cannot be sold is the reason why you need to buy gift cards from Japan if you want to buy from DLSite now, and why adult games sites are constantly dodging crackdowns.

Banks are the razor-sharp tip of the censorship spear.
Valve just updated their Steam rules to ban content that “may violate rules set by payment processors or banks.” Sounds boring. It’s not. It’s the quiet normalization of financial censorship and it’s going to hurt LGBTQ+ games and devs
