I think fans (broadly) would be better off it they treated adaptations (whether book to movie/tv, animated to live action, etc) as bonus material. Like, you can interact with it if you want. If it bothers you, ignore it. Duh.
At any rate, Disney treats canon more like a suggestion than a hard rule to follow. I suggest fans do the same to preserve their sanity.

So many people (not you) seem to be acting like, Disney's gonna come into their home and steal their copies of the original 2002 movie. That's not happening!!! The og movie and all the other movies/tv shows related to it are still on Disney Plus.
Sorry, I should've clarified: PEOPLE ACT LIKE the new movie supercedes the original. It does not (or at least should not).

Apropos of absolutely nothing (lying) but every video game should cost $10. Maybe $20 or $30 depending on how expensive the game was to make. $70 and higher is just too much, especially if the game isn't actually finished.
