At the end of a very intense day, I treated myself to an intense meal - the Spicy Squid at Joong Boo on 3333 N. Kimball. It was HOT today! So satisfying and just $13.00 for everything.

Water, a bowl of soup, and a metal tray with spicy squid, white rice, and three kinds of kimchi/sides including fish cake, cabbage, and cucumber.

This is less than 3 blocks from my house. I was in that Dunkin Donuts two hours earlier and gave someone a couple whistles. That same person I gave a whistle to showed up too, and a whole group of others did to look out for ICE soon after this happened. Neighbors are being vigilant in Avondale.

Chicago protester: The National Guard is not welcome here. Crime is under control. Military occupation doesn't make our cities safer. Resources and investment in community makes our city safer. My family left Eastern Europe because of the pogrom.
