ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

i don't think people outside the industry fully appreciate the scope of what they provide relative to their resources, and i think they should be the first click for non-chicagoans trying to understand chicago right now

The govt, at time of writing, yet maintains its felony assault complaints against two other men arrested at the 9/27 ICE facility protest:

Dana Briggs, who is 70 years old, and Paul Ivery, who has an intellectual disability and was asked, while in federal custody, to waive his Miranda rights.

New: the federal government has dropped its case against Ray Collins and Jocelyne Robledo, a couple who had faced felony charges for allegedly assaulting federal agents during a protest outside the Broadview ICE facility on Sept. 27.

The govt moved to drop its complaint against them this morning.

Chicago's the best city I won't hear otherwise
A photo of the City of Chicago taken from an L stop along the Pink Line. On the left are apartments. On the bottom of the frame is the train tracks and a railing. On the right is part of the overhang from the train station. The Loop and Sears Tower are far off in the distance in the center, slightly peaking out. Above is a blue sky with fluffy white clouds.

My full anger is at ICE but also for a gov claiming: “I will stand in the way of Tom Homan going after people who don’t deserve to be frightened in their communities, who don’t deserve to be threatened, terrorized. I would rather that he came and arrested me than do that to the people of my state.”

The Case for the Forever Shutdown
Senate Democrats actually allowing the GOP to stop funding the government is only the first step. Now they have to make the case that Trump’s government is illegitimate.
