I mostly use social media in relation to neurodiversity and disability, but sometimes get caught up in a bit of politics.

A whole lot of not thinking things through with this policy.

Pretty much assumes everyone is a middle-upper class white, straight teenager with no issues living in a city

Finland ended homelessness with a housing first strategy that gave people apartments before they secured employment

Now they’re proposing a 4 day work week and 6 hour work days

True work life balance

Meanwhile in the US, people work two jobs and can’t afford food or healthcare.

I will note that, prior to the news breaking that poetry is a highly efficient attack vector against LLMs, it was already known that Magic: The Gathering is Turing-Complete.

I'm just glad I got the line "they're tunneling TCP/IP over AD&D!" into a novel back in 2007!

This government is behaving like it's broke. The reason for this is that they've cut the income tax base, and are failing to tax large corporations.

I've been following this up with my local MP (Liberal). They seem to be interested in pushing it on my behalf. I don't know what to expect of this.
I just had a talk to a provider of the "Home and Community Care Program for Younger People" program about why they couldn't provide ongoing support for me. It seems that despite the fact that ongoing support is supposed to be available for people with chronic conditions, there's no funding.

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

The International Criminal Court is ditching Microsoft Office, saying it’s too dependent on US tech, in favor of Open Desk, a German open source alternative.

The move comes after Microsoft revoked ICC head Karim Khan’s email access when he was sanctioned by the US for the warrant against Netanyahu.
