Yeah, man, the only difference between your career and Mark Rufallo’s career is the political stuff.

Stranger Things stuck the landing. After watching the endings of shows I like fuck it to varying degrees, that was refreshing. The climax was tense, and the denouement was earned, if overlong. That's maybe my main criticism of the final episode. Like the end of LOTR, it give you multiple endings...

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
I Am An AI Hater
I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I know it was unlikely, given the vastness of the interbutt, but I wish the people figuring this out would've kept it to themselves longer. Point out their phenomonal incompetence after the fact
I mean yeah it’s an authoritarian takeover but can we take some comfort in the fact that the people doing it are INSANELY stupid?

FYI, it takes surprisingly little time to get first aid and CPR certified.

Wild, Absolutely wild, that MASH --a 50 year old tv show -- is still relevant.

It's funny cause Greene was a true believer, chugging the Flavorade.

If you haven't seen 28 Years Later, you should. It's on Netflix. For as much as he is in the ads, Fiennes has a rather small role, but hugely impactful. Knocked it out of the park. It's tense in the right spots, and absolutely heartbreaking.
Go, go see it.

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and it is now clear to me that the President of the United States is a pedophile. But at least I know that the Cracker Barrel logo won't be changed any time soon.

I hate LinkedIn so, so much. Even more, I hate that I'm going to have to interact with it in a professional capacity because it's being used by people I'm meant to network with.

I'm in a panel on SEO and GEO. It strikes me that this drive to make content that panders to this has driven writing quality into the ground.

I've got some wild stories about poor/disabled people trying to receive benefits.

But then also during COVID they gave all the kids free lunch and put all the kids on free lunch on SNAP during the summer.
as someone who was on SNAP four times let me tell you it would be *phenomenally hard* to exploit, they put *a lot of effort* into giving you *as little as possible* and are horrendously understaffed

if someone has managed to abuse the system they are Danny Ocean and you should respect the hustle
“some people abuse SNAP” your soul is rotten

These strip malls all look the same, but this one was mine. This was my grocery store, my donut shop.

In Sacramento for a conference. It's so familiar, and being here makes me sad in a way I don't know how to describe.
This decades old ache for my father and this nagging 'what-if', like there's a split in the timeline where I moved here as a child when my dad asked me to.

Shout out to the time 11 years ago my appendix burst twice and the hospital sent me a 12,000 bill because Penn States Health insurance was garbage.
