Okay, the sane thing did happen, at least in the Senate.
Check out 50 U.S. Code § 1706. Trump is basing his tariffs on the emergency declaration, which the House and Senate can nullify with a concurrent resolution. The Senate already did it. The question is whether Johnson will allow a vote on it.

Well, well. I wonder why he is doing this instead of trying to get Congress to revoke the "national emergency" Trump declared as a rationale for imposing the tariffs.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, a top Republican from farm-heavy Iowa, is spearheading a bill that would limit the president's power to impose tariffs amid Trump's trade war escalation.

Citizens of Louisville, get your cameras out now! It's the only way the newly gutted NOAA will know about them.
civil servants matter. state capacity matters.
I KNEW IT!

NWS Louisville doesn’t have enough staffing to cover NWS surveys. They now have to verify tornadoes via social media pictures.

No wonder they blame Democrats. The only time they realize there is a problem is when someone tries to clean up the mess.
If you get your news from the three network affiliates or read the local newspaper in Columbus Ohio you have no idea that the markets are melting down and that the 80-year-old world economic order is cratering. All you know is that it'sgonna rain today and the Buckeyes spring game is soon.

President Trump’s tariff taxes are a disaster.

This will hurt our farmers and producers, manufacturing industries, and cause prices for working families to go up on everything from groceries to gas to cars. And Republicans in Congress are doing nothing to stop him.

When Trump pushes illegal and inhumane immigration policies, it’s on us to fight back.

Glad to see @immcouncil.org filing a lawsuit — and Congress must pass my No Round Up Act to stop Trump’s cruel mass deportations. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...
Trump wants to revive 'alien registration' for immigrants. Advocates say no.
The lawsuit claims Trump's executive order would require non-citizens to carry registration ID or face criminal prosecution.

This is so sad. Where is the regulation that would stop this kind of predation?
Right-wing media helped dupe their audiences into believing that ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were miracle cures for COVID-19. Now, they're are apparently cashing in on that credulity thanks to the paid sponsorship of a mail-order pharmacy that provides easy access to the drugs.
