Sending troops into US cities against their will.

Strong-arming corporations and extracting gifts in exchange for tariff exemptions.

Calling on state governments to gerrymander in his favor.

Trump is the "big government" nightmare conservatives have always warned us about.

NEW: Video shared with me from a bystander in DC shows multiple masked federal agents (at least one of whom appears to have an ICE badge) violently attacking and handcuffing a delivery worker in the street outside Bluestone Lane cafe near Logan Circle this morning.

Please take care when watching.

Over 2.5 million Israelis joined today’s anti-Netanyahu protests, organisers estimate. 300,000 are now in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square. (Haaretz)

They don't quite understand Dem voters do not care if Dem leaders are exposed. We will gladly excommunicate anyone in those files.
The official White House line is now that those dirty Democrats must’ve been hiding some serious dirt about dirty Democrats in the Epstein Files and that’s why the much more transparent Republicans won’t release them now and uh Trump might pardon Maxwell too?
JD Vance: "We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires ... Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time. Who knows what they did."

@nkjemisin.bsky.social is one of the great world builders of our time. During this dark period of time, The World We Make is a beautiful escape and cathartic masterpiece all rolled into one. I can’t wait to devour everything else by this literary genius! #bookhangover

pretty weird how there's always billion dollars just lying around whenever ICE needs concentration camps but there's never any money when children need healthcare or a simple school lunch. oh well just one of those things I guess

This is a particularly grim compare-and-contrast. Why do people pay money to see something that looks so lifeless?
Can't believe so many people went to see this movie that had no reason to exist

Happy Monday to the therapists who are standing up for their vulnerable clients in the U. S. and do not support anything about this evil political administration!

Therapy is political!

The Holocaust didn't start in concentration camps.

It started in hospitals and asylums (where many trans Weimar Germans were sent after Berlin's queer culture collapsed) when the Nazis decided it was better to euthanize the disabled and the mentally ill than pay for their healthcare. 6/

NPR has identified dozens of Jan. 6 defendants that Trump pardoned with prior convictions or pending charges for crimes including rape, sexual abuse of a minor, domestic violence, manslaughter, production of child sexual abuse material and drug trafficking.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

This is really a key point.Diversity is good for many reasons. It is pleasant&useful. But it’s not why desegregation is important. These sweet euphemisms to appease people who don’t want to think about the compounding effects of structural racism (& sexism &concentrated capital etc) is how we got here.
Diversity was a conservative compromise that liberals decided to accept and now we are here
