Here is another watercolour drawing done on location in Winchester. This shows Dean Garnier's Garden which lies on the site of what was once the monk’s dormitory of the Benedictine Monastery. I still have the original of this tucked away somewhere.

In a democracy, it's actually good to hold the government to account. The government is the one in power. They're the ones who may affect who wins, who loses, who suffers, who thrives. They can lock you up. They can side with fascists or not. So, yes, pretty important to criticize them.

A big problem in retro tech spaces (games, computers, consoles, etc) that I've realized is the ludicrous amount of plastic. So much retro tech was created with plastic that not only yellows easily, but also exposes you to more microplastics.

Something random I'm rather proud of: After finally putting together enough to obtain a telephoto lens, I've managed to find an eastern screech owl, and entire nest of ospreys, and a nesting pair of bald eagles in the span of the year!
A great-horned owl still eludes me, but maybe next year
