My Granddaddy who was a true Progressive himself and from who I acquired my political views knew this man and thought a great deal of him as a person.

I am not going to give any oxygen to this corrupt regime. This is some useful information to that end.
Let's talk about how to report on right-wingers without amplifying their hateful rhetoric. Far-right extremists count on YOU to spread their messages for them. Here's a thread of resources.

I am, and have been, feed up with mass media, not reporters necessarily. They just keep things screwed up mostly, they don't serve the public interest but their own interest.
The media sure is really inquisitive about Trump's mass deportation plan now that he was elected: how it will work? how it will get paid for? is it even constitutional?

Why wasn't that curiosity directed at Trump before election?

The only hope we have to win is to have a seat at the table, the kitchen table. We must engage now and stay engaged with the voters in the local elections and then the midterm elections and finally the presidential in 2028. We must start now not later.
There are some things Democrats need to start doing right now to ensure that we win the House in 2026. I talk about some of them in my latest "Need to Know" Substack. Please follow me here and subscribe there. open.substack.com/pub/davidrot...

"Imagine that you are a foreign leader who wishes to destroy the United States. How could you do so? The easiest way would be to get Americans to do the work themselves, to somehow induce Americans to undo their own health, law, administration, defense, and intelligence."
Each of Trump's proposed appointments is a surprise. It is comforting to think that he is simply a vengeful old man, lashing out. This is unlikely. He and Musk and Putin have been talking for years. And the whole idea was that this time he had a plan.

You don’t bury an ethics report that would exonerate Trump’s pick.

You don’t skip FBI background checks unless his nominees have something to hide.

See what they’re doing? Please tell me you see what they’re doing.

I am finding lots of interesting people and media to follow. I want the news not the whining...we got shit to get done.

This is the last time any of us will be happy so I’m going to wallow in it.
Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.
