If humanities were useless AI companies would not be scrambling to ingest all the work of writers/thinkers/artists/journalists/etc. They, in fact, cannot do anything without that kind of work. But devaluing it is a great way to get people to give it to you for free/little $$, or justify stealing it
The U.S. has successfully convinced its people that “the humanities are frivolous and STEM is Important and Real” is basically a law of nature: this is absolute nonsense that we should stop putting up with.

IMMORAL…

This drawing was made by one of the 5 year old El Gamal twins. It shows children behind bars with the caption, “I’m 5 years old.”

An immigration judge denied them bond, citing “insufficient assets.” These children could remain in detention for years while their case is appealed.

Brendan Carr's FCC is moving to remove the decades-long exemption which network daytime (i.e. THE VIEW) and late-night talk shows have from equal time rules, meaning that if Colbert or Meyers wanted Hakeem Jeffries on this year, they'd have to invite his opponent, too.

Children are being deprived of medical attention!

During Trump's 1st term there were 4500+ reports of child #$EX @buse in detention.

Oversight & accountability have been gutted by Trump in his 2nd term & thousands of kids have been detained.

Trump wants to make Greg Bovino the fall guy. He thinks we won’t remember that Vance, Noem, and Miller all called Pretti a terrorist and still refuse to hold his murderers accountable.

We can’t let them get away with it.

Consider:

What can you offer as resistance?

Be creative!

Then offer it.

This is a great example.
You don’t know your role yet maybe, but we are all finding out just what we have to offer.

In Minneapolis, one man knew immediately what he could offer and said “Bring me your clothing”.

It’s not your imagination. The chaos caused by the Mad King has reached new heights—and we are only one year into his prescribed four-year term. It will likely get worse before it gets better. But we can survive and prevail if enough of us continue to resist on behalf of all of us.

If Republicans retain any vestigial memories of principle or patriotism, now would be a good time for them to act on distant memories of duty and honor to save America. Trump is embarrassing a great nation and endangering global security to assuage his fragile yet monstrous ego.

Many states count ballots that are postmarked by Election Day if they are received within several days.

At Trump's urging, Republicans are currently trying to get the Supreme Court to ban these grace periods nationwide boltsmag.org/ohio-ends-gr...
