I was at the theater with my sister and a friend, I believe, and we were watching the Downey Jr. Sherlock film.

Halfway through a tense scene, the edge of the movie started pitting and bubbling, then burning away. We were rapt as the entire scene went up in flames.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

sex scenes are craft! goddammit!
Anatomy of a Sex Scene: Heated Rivalry Edition - Reading the End
Heated Rivalry, AKA the gay hockey show, has been getting a lot of buzz for its explicit(-ish) sex scenes, and a lot of that buzz has been coming from viewers and critics whose experience with the rom...

So my first tip for this is just Read a Lot of Comics. have comics in your bookshelf (real or virtual) that you can flip through for inspiration and see how other artists are working and what/how they fit visuals into a panel. I read a lot of manga on my phone, and every time i see a page that--
Do you have any general tips on how to improve comic layouts/paneling? I want to start making proper comics but paneling is something I really struggle with (especially when it comes to making sure my sketch compilations fit the panel size while still being effective/showing everything I want)

What IS the vibe with Bandcamp now? I'm still buying music there, but last I heard members of the union were fired a while back, after the two consequent acquisitions. I don't think people have moved to other platforms (though I hear somebody's trying to do a co-op called Subvert?)
