Elusive silence
Exclusive silence
Silence a house market commodity

Home. Pub noise.
Streets. Traffic roar
Parks. Music blurs
Quiet lost, unwanted by some

Churches locked; open: an organ rages, tourists clatter
Silence elusive, considered uninviting

Our woodlands play a key role in flood and climate resilience. 🗝️

In Blean Woods, Ranger Heidi shared some images demonstrating just that. All of this water isn't running off into roads and people's homes.

It's just one 'ecosystem service' we can thank our wild spaces for: kwtg.uk/eco-services

Industrial heat is one of the hardest parts of the energy transition.

This sand battery is now delivering fossil-free heat for industry, storing renewable electricity as high-temperature heat and releasing it when needed. Simple idea, big impact.

Last year, helped by volunteers and visitors, the team at Wallington in Northumberland planted their *1 millionth* snowdrop. It was part of a ten year project and the site is now a destination for snowdrop spotting, with the welcome bloom carpeting the woodlands.

Thousands of thousands
Individuals, their vechicles
Churning out filth, relentless noise, displacing life with there ever need for tarmac space

I'm working on a beta tool to help you clean up old posts/likes/reposts on your Bluesky account

Because of rate limits, it will delete up to 4k records/hour and 30k per day from your account to leave you a little room to post

This thing DELETES DATA so use at your own risk

When it rains, it now rains more.

For those experiencing the flooding in south-west England, it is worth remembering that rainfall in winter has increased by about 25% overall.

And, the rainfall has also become more intense: when it rains, it now rains more, increasing the risk of flooding.
