Another very cool thing this museum did that I haven’t seen before were braille displays with replicas of some of the statuary so that people could touch them. That’s a great idea and more places should do it.

It’s an ableist assumption that screen reader users will reach out and report accessibility issues they find and if you don’t hear from anyone there are no problems with your digital content.

In my years working for an AmeriCorps org, we responded to wildfires, a deadly landslide, a bridge collapse, and tornadoes in Yazoo, MS, Joplin MO, Texas, New Jersey, and more… I met my partner on a disaster response deployment. 😢

Somehow not surprising but incredibly disappointing that DOGE shut down 18F. As many have said, they were industry leaders for government efficiency, usability, and accessibility. I have relied on their resources many times over the years in my digital accessibility career. 18f.org
