I’ve said before that we should savor the 2024 team because it is extremely likely we will never see a team that good again. Mornings like this reinforce that for me.
one of those days where I appreciate the 2017 and 2024 Eagles teams that much more.

This is the worst Eagles hype video in a long time. Hopefully not a problem.

For me, the mistake was not resting starters here. The mistake was getting out coached and beat on a short week, at home, against CHI. That was the missed opportunity.

We need to be honest with ourselves and our leaders about Venezuela

We are a rogue state, a global pariah

Trump is ruling as a dictator, period

An axis of evil wants to carve up small, resource-rich nations

The message for 2026 is clear: No kings!

Trump's illegal war on Venezuela cemented his claim to dictatorship and marked the U.S. as a global pariah.

Of all the things the MAGA crowd does, their failure to understand the meaning of "Fortunate Son" has been the classic for me. The ignorance of not actually listening to the lyrics with the performative stupidity in the belief that wearing the colors makes you a proud American.

Jalen Hurts is a Super Bowl MVP, he will never be considered a bust. People don’t understand Philly fans in the slightest.
Now that C.J. Stroud is a good NFL QB, should we replace the "Ohio State QBs are always busts" thing with "Alabama QBs are always busts"?

Bryce Young
Mac Jones
Tua Tagovailoa

We can claim Jalen Hurts doesn't count because he transferred. Or just wait for Eagles fans to turn on him in 2026 or 2027.

Simply put - Sirianni was correctly playing conservatively on offense in the 2H given the game flow. It's just that he doesn't have any easy button to hit in the passing game to get the QB to produce more than *0* completions all half. Conservative cannot mean just slamming #26 into 10-man fronts.
Normally I would say this is the head coach's job and he is right, except here we know he's not a very creative or effective offensive mind. I actually think he's pretty good at game flow and tactical decisions. He just doesn't know how to execute them if he doesn't have a dominant OL/run game.
December 29, 2025 at 2:49 PM
There are several plays each game where an interior OL player, usually Jurgens, just straight up whiffs on a block. Not “fail to drive back”, just not block anyone.
The biggest issue for the Eagles might be their run blocking is not good enough, or just has too many negative plays.
December 29, 2025 at 1:06 PM
He won’t help. He can’t help. If he could help, he would have helped. The only thing he has been able to do, since 2023, is lean on the run game. If that’s not there, he has no answers.
Nick Sirianni:

“I put it on myself. I’ve got to help with some things there, with some things that I know we want to get called. [Patullo] did a good job in that first half. But I’ve got to help in that second half a little bit, get into some things we want to get called there.”

A horrendous offensive plan. Scared and weak. Thank goodness Fangio has been able to overcome this head coach.
This season, there have been four instances where an offense has gained fewer than 20 yards in the entire second half.

Two were by the Eagles.

They won both games (today and Week 4).

Loserball offensive plan the entire second half. If the Bills win this, very eager to hear Sirianni defend it.

Completely embarrassing offensive play calling. Just scared to death.
Sirianni/Patullo are in full-on "Call nothing even remotely risky and Vic please get like 3 or 4 more stops cool thanks" mode.

That is one of the worst pass blocking reps I have ever seen from Landon Dickerson. He has become a real liability, in a way that you start to get concerned if he ever gets back to form.

I don’t think they are idiots. We saw a couple also-rans on Xmas, what production value were people expecting? There were 2 3rd string QBs playing! This is pretty standard stuff for holiday viewing - weak, but not as weak as muting a thread where you are getting lambasted.
December 26, 2025 at 4:01 AM
This is a weird take because the games looked no different from any other NFL broadcast to me. But I’m a guy who prefers to watch on mute. The production quality of live sports is generally horrible.
The Netflix and Amazon broadcasts are a great reminder that live sports is a deeply, deeply difficult type of TV that requires huge crews of profoundly skilled and experienced people who have worked together for a long time to look natural
