it's cool that so many people in positions of power and influence were so negatively polarized by "wokeness" that they convinced themselves that there was an actual debate about who wanted to erase history and the "wokes" were on the wrong side bsky.app/profile/arch...

Seeing how children everywhere are being affected by ICE is heartbreaking. You have kids being kidnapped and living in fear of that but also their friends living in fear of who won’t be at school the next day and why. People who support ICE don’t care about traumatizing kids en masse at all

Look if you keep talking about non-voters and you're not mentioning voter suppression in the same breath, you're not serious about addressing the problem of people not voting

Most of you are speaking from relative comfort. You have the time to read a few books if you actually give a damn about learning from the people who have been through this before.

My ranked teammates:
The Constitution and the law are clear: ICE must allow anyone they detain access to legal counsel.

But that is not happening—including for at least one detained U.S. citizen.

ICE must comply with the law and allow access to attorneys. This is not optional.

This makes me happy to see, and I think both are deserving. (I wasn’t crazy about certain aspects of PTA’s writing of Black women in this film, but Teyana still acted her ass off)

His performance in this film made me tear up. It wasn’t even *that* scene. It was his introduction. Delroy Lindo captured the essence of so many of the older Black men I’ve known growing up in the South. To be truly seen is such a blessing. “I got socks older den this hea boy” IMMEDIATE tears.

Democratic leadership is terrified of being seen on the side of the people of Minneapolis, least they lose the potential future support of pro-cop people whose support they do not and never will have.
I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.
