Hello! By way of introduction, here are four Doom projects I released this year:
PhoboChromaPhobia — 11 colorful maps for ZDoom
Osterity — 8 maps for vanilla Doom
PREEKARITY — 1 large map for limit-removing ports
Wayward Puritans — spooky 1-map near-total conversion, with additional ending map

This will always be watching Hereditary in the Union Square Regal. People screamed, jumped out of their seats, and ran out of the theater. The stranger next to me grabbed my arm and whispered, “I can’t take it anymore, man!” Never seen anything like it again, 10/10
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Given that things have surely gotten worse since I was a grad student & TA, it’s terrifying to imagine what it must be like to TA while trans in the current environment. If you’re in a position to do so, please give some extra support to all the TAs at risk of being targeted by bad actors!
Of course many faculty see graduate students as less than human, and many faculty don’t particularly care about teaching as an activity or teaching faculty as peers… almost like the concept of solidarity has been eradicated in academia…
