TL;DR: Dorchester is a coastal neighborhood, and the Morrissey Bvd plan must reflect that. Raising the road won’t fix the real issues: residents need safe routes, real waterfront access, & public spaces that work. If we rebuild this corridor, it should solve more than flooding & actually be useful.
Opinion— Kevin Deabler, co-founder of RODE Architects, says we need to think about much more than traffic when designing Dorchester's infrastructure of the future, particularly along the coast.

TL;DR: Dorchester is a coastal neighborhood, and the Morrissey Bvd plan must reflect that. Raising the road won’t fix the real issues: residents need safe routes, real waterfront access, & public spaces that work. If we rebuild this corridor, it should solve more than flooding & actually be useful.

NWS got us out of our tryptophan haze with news of a poss. storm Tues/Wed. At first looks like any snow would be mostly outside 128, but NWS says we could see a "gloppy/sloppy wet snow-to-rain scenario" on the coastal plain. So we'll start with 1 Slice/Low for now ...
