On Saturday night, get ready for a stunning display of green meteors — weather permitting. The Geminids, regarded as the year’s biggest and best meteor shower, could sling 50 meteors overhead every single hour. https://wapo.st/4aa52EZ

Scientists were able to locate the males by listening to their mating croaks.”

Is there anyone on this planet who wants to sit in cramped airplane seating next to some sweaty dude who just got done working out?
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence"

Being an early filmmaker would’ve been a great, fun gig
Camera movement has existed longer than we might think, with pans becoming common in the 1900s.

Early filmmakers also simulated movement. This 1908 fairy tale THE GRATEFUL LITTLE MICE gives the illusion of a zoom by pulling the performers and prop book toward the camera. It's nearly seamless.
