I hate genAI as much as anyone but revoking the award is a bit embarrassing for the organizers. They reject all genAI, awesome, but... don't they check in advance? Didn't the studio speak openly about using genAI like half a year ago? Would the organizers care if there was no Larian controversy?

Quantic Foundry does legit trustworthy analysis of gamer behaviour, and these survey results are shockingly negative toward genAI, to the point where I’m more hopeful that data driven mobile and AAA backpedals on their uses.
everyone dislikes genai in games, but kids and story-focused players the most.
