Didn't qualify for the Chicago marathon?

No problem! There is a free marathon bike ride along the route at midnight before the foot race
A vintage-style poster advertising the "Chicago Midnight Marathon Ride." The poster has a muted color palette of teal, red, and gold.

The central image is of a woman in a classical, flowing orange gown with a laurel wreath in her hair, riding an old-fashioned bicycle. She is holding a tall staff topped with a lit torch.

In the background, there is an illustration of the Art Institute of Chicago under a starry night sky.

The text on the poster reads:

"CHICAGO" in large, stylized red font at the top.

"MIDNIGHT MARATHON RIDE" in teal letters below.

A red banner on the left reads "OCTOBER 11TH".

"11:59 PM AT ART INSTITUTE" is written in yellow-gold text.

At the bottom right, it says "SLOW PARTY PACE".

The entire poster is enclosed in a dark green and orange border.

our client struck the base of a broken flexi-post used to separate the bike lane from motor vehicle traffic. In April of 2022 a jury found that the City should have known of the broken post and fixed it before the crash. The City claimed that the post was not in the bike lane, but in a

Great news for people who bike in Chicago! The IL Supreme Court denied the City of Chicago's effort to overturn our 2022 verdict against the City for failing to maintain a protected bike lane which resulted in serious injuries for our client. Trying to exit the bike lane blocked by a stopped bus,

Oh, you drive a car? Make sure you don't drive drunk or use your phone while you drive!

Saying this every time someone mentions driving would make more sense than bringing up helmets whenever someone mentions biking.

Thrilled that someone finally made a documentary about the rail trail movement that treats that history for what it is: a fascinating and shockingly controversial story about the right to public space, which is every bit as epic as the battle against the highway movement (which sometimes overlaps).

Some of the fiercest battles for the future of public space in America have happened on abandoned railway corridors — and the battles aren't over yet.

I’m not perfect and neither are you.

We rush, get distracted, sometimes make dumb choices. That’s life. But behind the wheel those mistakes can ruin lives.

On a bike the worst I risk is me. That’s why I ride. Safer for you, safer for me.

It would be awesome for the mayor to crack down on bike theft. I suspect it’s a small group of organized thieves that account for most stolen bikes
