The several years I spent doing freelance work with an actual editor made me a *far* better writer than pretty much anything I had done before (including college). I don't think I would have broken bad habits (hello, page-long sentences) or been as *aware* of my bad habits without an editor.

Reposting this thread as a counterpoint to the one I reposted yesterday, which appears...hyperbolic in retrospect, at best.

You might have heard "when a measure has become a target, it ceases to be a measure."

But managers clearly haven't. Because the vast majority of so-called "data-driven decision making" is in reality simply target-driven. The distortion caused by turning metrics into targets makes them unreliable.

She is definitely in the second and last seasons, the only season she isn't in is the first. And yes, the pirate queen of space is also up there, but I think there is a better argument for her not being main cast.
