I talked to Ald. Jessie Fuentes, following her temporary detainment by federal agents last week. There's a letter of support circulating online that describes what happened to her.

“ICE agents continue to violate civil liberties with impunity," the letter reads.

Some folks have reported experiencing extended nausea and dizziness since being tear gassed in Brighton Park on Saturday. General reminder to seek medical care even if you think you can tough it out—document it all and start a paper trail. You never know if you may need it.

The Chicago FOP put out a statement criticizing CPD’s response to the scene after Border Patrol shot an unarmed woman multiple times, but no comment at all about, you know, shooting an unarmed woman multiple times.

Or the fact those same agents tear-gassed roughly 2 dozen Chicago cops.

talked to someone who's been talking to pritzker and heard the main reasons for sending state police to broadview are (a) don't let ice kill a protester and (b) don't let ice claim that they're in so much danger from protesters that they need military protection. (b) may soon be important in court.
