Another disabled person grabbed by ICE and denied accommodations.

Duglof has Epidermolysis Bullosa, or EB. His skin is fragile, causing it to tear easily.

He came to the US for specialized treatment and followed the process.

He is not a criminal.

It was never about crime.

Taking over Greenland is not a joke. Trump is sending messages to foreign leaders and making threats that will destroy the most important alliance we have. Are Republicans in Congress and Marco Rubio really ready to throw NATO away because they’re too afraid to stand up to Trump?

The problem Republicans in Congress must now face is however difficult and embarrassing for them, the President is now waving matches round a barrel of gunpowder, (for the US as well) and only they can now take them away from him.

Vanity hit, yes. A WC boycott would also have economic effects in planned host states, incl. red Texas (x2) & Florida + purple Georgia & Pennsylvania, in a midterm election year. It would severely damage ties w/ corporate sponsors & media giants that have poured 10s/100s of millions into the Cup.
It might sound silly, but I mean it: The easiest and most potent way for Europe to hurt Trump this year is to once again use its cultural soft power and to threaten a boycott of the World Cup. It would become a completely meaningless event and would hurt him where he is most vulnerable - his vanity.

This is darkly funny. But part of the problem with Donald Trump is that this is how people have dealt with him for the past 75-plus years.

Long story short (and friends in Europe, please take note):

This approach DOES NOT WORK.
