People stop all diets for the same reasons: it stops working, they realize the supposed benefits from losing weight don't give them as much pleasure as eating, or they suffer health consequences. My BFF gave herself Multiple Sclerosis by following a strict low-fat diet, so it's really all diets.

We’ve been down this path before during the 80s/90s with the Atkins diet
People stopped doing it back then because of the liver & kidney issues, and heart disease it caused

In biz school, there was a finance class where I didn’t understand something. The professor tried explaining several ways, but it all sounded nuts to me. I could feel my classmates’ stares.
It was 2003 and he was explaining Credit Default Swaps.

Like...I know the studio badly longs for the profits GoT made in its early seasons. But that ship has sailed. The ending was so bad, it killed any enthusiasm people had for a continuation. They had to go back in time to an earlier era, just to avoid that ending.
