I think there's also a wish fulfillment element in a lot of x-mas-compatable movies. LOTR has a big adventure, Harry Potter gets whisked into a new exciting magic world with friends (SW too), or there's some kind of appeal to a grander idea. #scriptchat #scriptsky

I'm kind of glad I'm out of cardstock to make new blank books out of because it's impossible to eyeball page numbers. One of these only has ten sheets in it, the other has like a thousand.

Speaking from experience (I work in procurement), someone needed a Specific Thingy. They asked ChatGPT, which spat out the wrong part number. I had to spend 30 minutes convincing them it WAS the wrong part number and 5 minutes calling the human vendor who knew exactly what we needed.

Tweeting with @merrillbarr.com about Magnum last night reminded me of my favorite piece of MAGNUM, PI trivia. After the show’d been cancelled, QUANTUM LEAP had plans for Sam to leap into Thomas Magnum. It never happened, but here’s test footage of Scott Bakula doing Selleck’s “eyebrow wiggle.”
