The dream creaks open exposing the depths of the well. The water wakes to the sound of life. Horseshoes. Footsteps. The hollow strike of a pail. The throat of the earth swallows the moon. I woke thirsty, and found I was made of water.

The bravery of all these kids amidst the trauma our government is causing, when it should be protecting them. On top of generational trauma, on top of the trauma of living in a capitalist dystopia. The humanity, empathy and bravery of these children.

#Fungi #FungiFriday I believe this is the Gem-studded Puffball aka Lycoperdon perlatum, but don't quote me on that.
A cream white mushroom; it's cap its studded with a multitude of tiny spikes, giving it an almost fuzzy appearance. The mushroom sits on a dark forest floor, surrounded by twigs and spruce needles.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
