We’re through the looking glass now. I assume that nobody on the “right” cares but we are at the point where any sane rational person can see that the United States government is murdering its citizens and unapologetically lying about it on an almost daily basis.

No one is coming to rescue us.
Bovino shamelessly lies: "This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement"

Oh yeah. “All it would take” is 16 Republicans doing something that they’ll never do. No problem.
Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

Watching The Deer Hunter. This wedding looks like fun. Reminds me of the weddings I attended in my old neighborhood. Married at the church you were baptized in and off to the VFW down the street.

Sure hope things work out for these guys. They keep talking about going to Vietnam. Sounds ominous.

Just children in charge. Weird freaks who have spent the last decade incubating in the toxic online hellspaces and are now running the country based entirely on grievances, imaginary and otherwise.

We’re just a big stupid country filled with weird people who never really grew up.

Kinda bizarre to spend the beginning of the podcast saying that they basically did what everyone expected and should still be a contender and then spend the rest of the podcast talking about dangerously thin they are in the rotation and the outfield.

For a brief period of time, a bar in West Philly had Irish Cheesesteaks on the menu. I believe it was corned beef and sauerkraut with a sharp cheddar and maybe some spicy mustard and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life.
Here’s a topic outside the news.

What’s the most unlikely place you’ve ever had the best particular food or drink you’ve ever had?

Like, not the best steak at the world’s top steakhouse. Something weirder.

Best burger I’ve ever had? Fresno airport.

Best cup of coffee? Crater Lake Lodge.

Wow. Shocker.
A new study found that the Supreme Court has become deeply polarized in cases pitting the rich against the poor, with Republican appointees far more likely than Democratic ones to side with the wealthy.

The New York Times has posted approximately five hundred stories on social media over the last two days using the word “captured” as though it was the official state propaganda machine.
The U.S. capture of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, has drawn wide-ranging reactions. Many Venezuelans celebrated the leader’s ouster. Opponents of the military operation called it illegal, with Americans taking to the streets to protest what they called an act of imperialism. trib.al/woauLUf

I feel like “first” needs to be in quotes here. As in, it was a “first” in America but had happened elsewhere already. Read the headline several times before understanding what was being said. Am I wrong about this?
With Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Adams, and George Washington in the audience, an American first took place where the Athenæum now stands.

I managed to stay sober for another year. I was able to keep off the weight that I lost and continue to get healthier and stronger both mentally and physically. Managed to finally run three miles without stopping (on the treadmill) for the first time in over a decade. Got better at certain recipes.
Every year around this time I do the same thread and it has been a lot of fun.

Tell me something you did in 2025 that you're proud of that you want everyone to know about. Did you write a book? Did you get a promotion? Did you survive the year?

I want to spend the end of the year celebrating you.
