Did a thing. Maybe not forever, but certainly until Labour remember what they’re for.

Lifelong Labour voter here. Just done the same after seeing this post and watching your ad.
So glad somebody gets it.

Maybe some of the technology is new, so it would have been slower, but starting so late has been absolutely criminal.

Just think — we could have done this forty years ago when I was learning about the Greenhouse Effect at school…

Ebook readers you can now support Real Magic. It is time to ditch the other billionaire supporting options, support a real bookshop whilst still enjoying your Kindle. Bookshop.org have set up ebooks on their website which means every time you buy through them you’re supporting the shop.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 235:
Stop equating wealth and fame with your value as a writer. Some of the writers we now admire were unknown in their lifetimes; just as many once-bestselling writers are now forgotten and unread. Making good art is not the same as making good money.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 18167:
There is no "typical reader," just as there is no "typical writer." Your first responsibility is to yourself; to create the most honest, well-written, carefully-researched story you can. Finding readers comes later.

Wasn’t expecting to cry while reading Patricia Routledge’s obituary but here we are.

Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/03/o...
Text reads: ‘She had high hopes for the afterlife. “When I approach the pearly gates,” she once said, “I’d like to hear a champagne cork popping, an orchestra tuning up and the sound of my mother laughing.”’

Man, I miss this. Autumn in the UK is just dark and soggy. DC fall is the BEST.

Fall color increasing. Most prominent in western suburbs with general low color, per Explore Fall. If you're up for a road trip, the mountains of nearby West Virginia are ranging from moderate to peak color and it'll be a beautiful weekend! Details plus forecast update at cwg.live.
Fall foliage in the D.C. region. Mostly low or no color around here with moderate to peak color in the Alleghenies.
