I'm glad I've worked with K-8 autistic students so I can say how, despite the material & educational challenges their families have to contend with, how special & wonderful autistic kids are. I love them, they enrich my work every day. RFK Jr is a Nazi-era eugenicist to me, a sick fucking bastard.
As I wrote in the piece, Kennedy continues to use stigmatizing and frankly pretty shocking language to refer to people with autism, implicitly framing them as a burden on society and their families who will, as he said, "never pay taxes" or "write a poem."
