🧪 This is what whooping cough looks & sounds like.

A baby tragically died of whooping cough today.

Dr. Ralph Abraham is the CDC’s new deputy director.

He:

1. Halted Louisiana's mass vaccination campaign

2. Promoted ivermectin

3. Delayed public warnings about a deadly whooping cough outbreak

We’d like to end today with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it as not as dreadful as it appears, discovering that we have the strength to stare it down.

Just keep going. Goodnight, heroes.

America. So much healthier now.
Trump just ended a rule limiting a type of pollution that causes heart and lung disease.

The rule was expected to save thousands of American lives every year.

I alternate between anger and embarrassment on a daily basis with this administration.
This is just amateurish buffoonery that confirms this Administration’s foreign policy is alternatively Russian-directed and totally directionless. Such an embarrassment. Our enemies delight.

And we can't practice medicine without #professionals on our team.

What?

The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food.

The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of what are called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.

Five years ago, we all applauded nurses, public health, and health care workers every evening for saving lives.

Today, the federal government does not consider these workers professional.

This says everything about the state of US health care.

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle has had 6 patients since June with a rare fungal infection.

Mucormycosis has a fatality rate of about 50% and strikes the immunocompromised.

Unrelated: Harborview rang a bell and sure enough one of the first U.S. patients died of COVID19 there.

Okay #medsky who believes that nurses, PTs, PAs and audiologists are all professionals that we need on our healthcare teams?

I do!

I support #nurses
The Repayment Assistance Plan removed many professions from the designation of professional when reviewing lending caps.
Nursing, PA, PT, & audiology are excluded from the updated list. Others not considered professional include architecture, accounting, & mental health.
Still included? Theology.

Democrats haven’t budged on the need for school vaccine requirements since 2019. Republicans have consumed so much disinformation that their support has declined by 27% since then.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
