Giving up smoking?
Here's how I did it:
Most cigarettes are "habit" (you have them at set times or stuations), ~10% are "addiction" (you need the nicotine).
Start by cutting out "habit" cigs, 1 or 2 each day, over about 3wks.
So, dont smoke at every tea break, or when you get to the lights etc.

Afghanistan shows if a country doesn't want to be subjugated, *it can't be subjugated*.
In the last 55yrs, Russia tried to invade & conquer it, retreating after 10yrs well beaten, & USA/NATO tried to conquer it, retreating after 20yrs, well beaten.

Ukraine can do that too, if they want to.

The proposal is a rise of 4.1% (~50p/hr for most).
Let's be honest, *no UK business* will have to reduce staff in order to pay for this & *nobody* is going to go bankrupt due to it.
It just *maintains* the buying power of minimum wage workers.

So SKY feature a poll showing 23% of Labour voters are critical of the PM.

SKY do not feature the fact that 77 % are not critical of the PM.

How reporting of polls works 😵‍💫

Starmer is the most successful PM in living memory, 59 of 86 Election promises already delivered after one year. The UK media is deliberately denigrating the UK's efforts to improve lives. It is also completely giving a totally false picture to the public and depressing confidence.

I think Starmer knows exactly what he is doing, lifting children out of poverty.

•Tests can only be moved to centres close to original location
•Only learners can book their test, not third-party apps

There's nothing new in this - Panorama reported on it several times since 2011 (also in 2022), successive Tory Governments ignoring the problem (& making it worse).
It makes no sense to pay firms to export it, instead of subsidising recycling plants here

Reminder:
Green energy doesn't require war with oil-rich countries.
It's also sustainable and doesn't pollute our air.
It is also the future of the planet at large.
If we choose oil, we choose our own extinction.
So war for oil/oil = bad
Green energy = good

In the UK, Labour has announced that touts & resale sites etc will no longer be allowed to do this.
But that news was somehow greeted by most people as either "irrelevant to their life" or "harming business", etc.

People in the UK can't have nice things. They just try to break them.
Singer Olivia Dean slammed Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AEG Presents in an Instagram post Friday after tickets for her upcoming tour were instantly resold at hundreds of dollars more than face value, prompting the ticketing giant to cap resale prices for Dean’s tickets.
Olivia Dean Calls Ticketmaster ‘Disgusting’ Over High Ticket Resale Prices
Ticketmaster, in response, said it would cap the resale ticket prices at their original price.

Nonsense from Express (repeated by BBC)🙄.
#Facts:
Personal tax threshold (if frozen) will stay at £12570.
Anyone whose income (pension(s) etc) is under that won't pay tax.
Any earnings over £12570 taxed at 20%.
If pensions rise at 5% next 2yrs, extra tax ~20% of £700 x 2 (ie £140 & £140) *maximum*

Dear Pippa

It's *not a make or break* Budget.
It's a perfectly normal Budget.
It will be adjusted in the Spring, & there will be another Budget next Autumn, & every year to the end of this Parliament.
After this Budget, regardless of Media hysteria, the UK economy will grow, & life will go on.

The only answer that benefits Ukraine is to smash into Crimea & take it back by force (perfectly possible with NATO help), immediately making all Russian gains since 2014 worthless.
Short of that, cutting off land access near Kherson & destroying the Kerch bridge, which are much more achievable.

No... what America needs is a full accounting of why all the breaches of the Constitution were allowed to stand unpunished at the time...
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.
