There are people who only exist in the public consciousness because they've learned to get attention for having horrible takes (noahpinion etc).
It's important to tune them out and not platform them. The exceptions being when they are so big it won't make a difference & ignoring leads to more harm.

I hold a lot of disdain for the people who didn’t see this coming given P2025 but it does seem like the actual support for these goals is nonexistent, everyone who voted for him did so under the incredibly stupid assumption that he wouldn’t do this

one of the biggest problems with having political leadership that is incredibly old has nothing to do with fitness - it’s that their formative political experiences, through which they still see everything, are tremendously mismatched to the world they actually live in
the mindset that the Normative American is a “Reagan Democrat” who is pissed about hippies has had such a lock on the brains of the American political class for my whole lifetime
