It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.

Great to see John Holdren, Obama's Science Advisor, make a very clear statement about how equity and diversity improve science and technology. When I do EDI training for hiring I am clear. We're looking for great researchers and teachers and we risk missing out on those people.

One of the things Obama said early on—he liked sports analogies—was it’s hard to win if half your team is on the bench. And he was talking about women and minorities in science, technology, engineering, and medicine. A large fraction of the country’s talent base is not being effectively used because of lack of access, lack of inclusion, and lack of equity. And to the extent that we fixed that, we improved the system.

There’s now a substantial amount of scholarly research that shows that diversity is beneficial in science and technology. And the idea that diversity, inclusion, equity, per se, are bad ideas—which is obviously the stance that the Trump administration holds—are very destructive to the future of this country in these fields.

Seems like if the administration had a strong legal theory for killing people in the Caribbean, they’d be willing to share it publicly.

Good question from Senator Coons.

AG Bondi refuses to disclose what legal theory if any from DOJ justifies these premeditated killings in the Caribbean.

COONS: How did you conclude that these strikes on boats in the open ocean are legal?

BONDI: I'm not going to discuss any legal advice that my department may or may not have issued

Great new investigative piece showing how the new Cook County prosecutor has weakened the conviction integrity unit - even as concerns mount over the pressure tactics of a former Chicago detective, with the reporter finding evidence of 24 cases with coercion allegations:

Notice her non-answer.

This is explosive. Should be explosive. The US AG who said she had the Epstein files on her desk cannot say whether or not the FBI has pix of Trump with half-naked women, which one witness who knew Epstein has said he has seen.

NOTABLE -- Pam Bondi refuses to answer direct questions about if the FBI has incriminating photos of Trump with half-naked young women, but instead deflects from them by attacking Sen. Whitehouse

It's a pretty big deal that the NYC Bar Association--one of the most prominent and respected bar associations in the country--is accusing the President of ordering the "unlawful summary execution," i.e. murder--of civilians in violation of US and international law. www.nycbar.org/press-releas...

Yes. The Obama Administration's original sin was to not hold the Bush Administration people accountable. Doing so
would have entailed a clash with the CIA and much of the intelligence and defense communities. Easier in the short run to move on, but terribly costly in the long run.

Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.

He should be charged by Oregon ? With attempted insurrection, incitement to violence. What else.
