Lurking liker. Wicketkeeping nerd.

Form is temporary; being good when you were 15 is permanent.
It's the perfect time of year to wonder why a formation of flying geese isn't called a Vagaggle.

More on this breaking new story as we get it.

Yep, this. Excellent.
OK so feeling slightly apprehensive about this, which I suppose is kind of the point. This is an attempt at a progressive view on masculinity and on men getting laid. God help me. iandunt.substack.com/p/how-to-be-...
How to be a man
The right story narrative about male attractiveness is grounded in Social Darwinism and free market economics. Can progressives tell a better story?

Young wicketkeepers. I know you all hang out here.

Please ignore the under-informed Dhruv Jurel chat.

Pope only nicked that because he was standing up. In a game where everyone is flat, the 'keeper has an underappreciated way of changing the angles & irritating all but the very best.

Stand up.

Surrey vs Durham (1091 across 7?) has me wondering what the most runs in a game by Centurions is? 821 across 3 in BCL's 501 game for context...

I wrote for the Guardian’s Saturday magazine about my son Max, who changed how I see the world. Took ages. More jokes after the first bit.

Thanks Merope Mills for being the most patient and generous editor.

It was, we were told, a case of sudden infant death syndrome interrupted. What followed would transform my understanding of parenting, disability and the breadth of what makes a meaningful life

I have been doing entirely too much earnest posting about deep things recently, I need to do a proper thread about hippo testicles or something just to keep myself sane.

Oh by the way hippos have migratory testicles.

Morning. Happy New Year.
A while ago I ran a series of daily tweets about birdsong. The idea was to encourage people to pay attention to the natural sounds around them, and learn to identify birds from their sounds alone (which, after all, is often the only clue you get to their presence).
