Investigating elected officials for speech is not law enforcement but intimidation. If governors and mayors can be investigated for criticizing federal actions, neither elected officials nor anyone else is truly free to speak. #holdfast

Untrickled

We should refer to him that way in every instance. Do not use the term “president.” Use the term “dictator”:

U.S. Dictator Donald Trump today announced ….
Also, this is not administration. It is a regime.

New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.

(Aside: A trade war with one EU country is a trade war with the entire EU).

One more Cambridge May Week scene, quite a large painting combining materials. Quite an evocative hazy image like butterflies in the mist. This is one of the paintings sold at exhibitions at the Linda Blackstone Gallery a few years ago.

A lot of people are wigging out on lardass' bluster about midterm elections.

Per the Constitution, the federal government has no authority over elections.

States certify their own elections.

Mail-in voting still exists.

Breathe.

It's also important to understand there could be those on SCOTUS in the Epstein files. So again, let's take a page from the GOP playbook and never forget the importance of state and local elections.

The Virginia House already did this on Wednesday.

It's official: there'll be a referendum later this year on the issue.

Why do ICE agents carry guns?
Not one single report of them being shot at!!
Not one single story about apprehending anyone with a gun!!
Take the weapons away from the untrained, unrestrained, incompetent agents. Do it for public safety.

Today, it’s not your vote that determines whether the government brutalizes you or sends officers to your door. It’s your neighbors’ vote.

If you’re ok with this happening to Minnesotans, don’t get comfortable. You won’t be exempt for long.

In the end, a lawless administration comes for everyone.

ICE isn’t making rare mistakes. This is the point.

When an agency can grab people first and sort out rights later, if they bother at all, everyone is at risk. Citizen or not.
