I did a lot of research for this one due to Canada's history of colonialism, and learned a lot! Here's more info- www.tumblr.com/christianneg...

I can’t stop thinking about how the #KirbyAirRiders 2nd direct was like:

-Top Ride!
-Story Mode!
-Online lobby!
-The air ride machines are alive and can feel pain and we personalized their death screams
-Customization!

Sakurai: "Machines in Air Riders are sentient when sharing the will of their Riders"

Oh that's cute!

Sakurai: "So we added screams when they get destroyed."

There it is, the Kirby lore I love. Seasoned with a pinch of fucked up.

I got a package this week from “Intelcom” (who?) and now learning that its CEO is the brother of Mélanie Joly, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry of Canada, puts ALL of this hobbling of Canada Post into clear focus 😡

When Trump acts like this, for me, and I hope for many others - it increases my tolerance for delays in sorting out a deal with the US, it increases my acceptance of pain while we work to find new trade partners.
Trump is pissed about an ad that Canada recently ran in the U.S. showing Ronald Reagan talking about tariffs in 1987.

“Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.”

Some news!

Every Thursday me and Stephen will be doing an extended and separate podcast episode about Metro Vancouver politics.

We're hoping to do this each week for the next year until the 2026 local elections.

First episode later today!

Find it here, or wherever you get your podcast fill.

Whatever happens in Palestine, we have to keep fighting for an end to apartheid. A settlement was annexed? That is not permanent. We will have a free Palestine.

Did an end to apartheid in South Africa seem impossible? It ended too.

In our lifetimes or not we have to keep moving toward it.

Canada Post “lost” 1 billion dollars last year?

How about, “it cost Canadians 1 billion dollars to have a national postal service” which works out to costing about $25 a year per person (population of Canada in 2024 = 40 million). Seems like a pretty reasonable cost to me.
"Canada Post is on track to lose money" Hum. Duh. It cost less than a toonie to send a letter across Canada.

"Canada Post is a service and not a business" was common knowledge until late stage capitalism brain rotted most people into think if it ain't making money for shareholders, it's failing.

Hello, I have just read this book cover to cover in one sitting and cried more than once. I highly recommend it if you have any struggles at all with executive dysfunction, adhd, depression, or anxiety, it sees you, and it gives you a really welcome and caring hug, which it assures you, you deserve!
